Hi
I haven’t had it confirmed by an expert but all of my research has led me to believe my birds have mycoplasma ( raspy breathing, foaming and swollen eyes etc ) I have lost 2 in the the past week. I started with Denagard (15 ml per gallon) in all of the waterers added some sugar. I also used Vet Rx down their throats and on beaks and combs.
We are on day 7 and my girls still have symptoms. One even is getting black spots/growths on her combs.
I am at a loss.
I did get Oxine in the mail today. Can I use this with the denagard? How many days can I use the dengard? I though for sure we would be past this by now.
thank you so much in advance.

Can you post some photos? The black spots too.
What does the inside of their beak look like?

Do your chickens have a foul odor?
They still have symptoms - what symptoms? Has the Denagard helped at all?
Denagard is used to treat Mycoplasma only, it is not effective against other respiratory illnesses. If you are dealing with something different, this may be while they are not getting better.

Oxine is not an antibiotic. How are you planning on using it - vaporizor, spray over the heads of the chickens?

Thanks for the photos - can you also answer some of the questions that were asked?
Has treating with antibiotics/denagard made any difference at all?
I see the sunken eye on the one hen, what have you been doing to treat that? Is her eye still there or has it turned grey?

Here's a link to your state vet lab, it would be a good idea to contact them and ask about testing https://vbs.psu.edu/adl/services

Independent labs also perform testing - here is a link to Zoologix:https://zoologix.com/

The scabs on the BO may be from Fowl Pox. If only on the outside (combs/wattles) Dry Fowl Pox will usually resolve in several weeks.

Have you looked inside the beak of the BO and the white one? Any canker, mucous or lesions?

Thank you
For reason unless I check the thread I am not alerted to responses. I think I need to change my settings.
I have been putting Vet RX on the one with the eye. It has not turned grey.
Today I put 6 ounces of oxine in a gallon of water and placed it in a humidifier. I put the humidifier in a long Rubbermaid container and covered with a blanket. I have been placing each of the birds in the box. They seem to find it relaxing.
And perhaps it is wishful but my rooster seems a bit more chatty after the treatment.
I am planning on calling New Bolton on Monday.

Glad to hear you are seeing little improvement.
You received some good advice on your other thread that you started. May want to look at the eye treatment that was suggested.
