It says serum, which to me means blood, and I think it would also need to be put in a centrifuge first. The Idexx kit is not meant to be used by backyard chicken keepers.It doesn't say.
You could cull a sick bird and send it to your state vet to get it tested. What state are you located? MG is a disease that cannbe common in flocks. It can be passed through hatching eggs. Treating a chicken with MG with antibiotics will not keep the chicken from still being a carrier for life. There are about 5 or so respiratory diseases, and some have similar symptoms. My chickens are breeders so that will probably be the best thing. If I do cull them can I barrie them?

A picture would be great!I looked a little closer a the sebright, she has an absence? It's on her face by her beak. It has a brown/red dote in the middle. So Intook her away from the other hen and now she's in a cage. There is a fowl smell now. I can try to get pic if you like
