I had a order from My Pet Chicken on Monday. They shipped around 5 PM on Monday and I got them Wed 8AM when the post office called. They will send you an email when they ship, at first when I checked the tracking it was scheduled for Thurs(even though it said 2 day) but as time progressed it moved to Wed. Most post Offices will call when they receive them due to them being live animals. I had to ring a door bell and noticed a sign that said 7AM - 9PM for express mail, but as soon as I walked inside the building I heard the chicks peeping. They were super loud. I am sure the Post Office called ASAP for their peace and quiet

Good luck with your silkies I ordered 7 and I think I have 3 that made the trip. My notebook is out in the coop. I didn't have a good shipment, really heartbreaking how bad it turned out.

Sorry about your doa chicks did u call for a refund. I am expecting that there will be at least one doa chick so I order a few more than needed. good luck to u too!!!

I ordered from MPC last year. I got six all different breeds. They came alive and healthy. One turned out to be a rooster. I still have four of the six. Love love love my girls. I decided to order again this year. I ordered eight and they came doa. I cried and cried over it. They did reimburse me everything and I have ordered again. Of course I'm not getting everything I wanted but that is okay. Now all I can think about is I hope they make it to me okay. Fingers crossed. They are to be shipped on Sept. 30.

Just so everyone knows I finally received my NPIP Paperwork from my pet chicken after requesting it 3 times. My chicks were not even from my pet chicken. The had Meyer Hatchery fill my order.

All of my remaining chicks are all doing fine they will be 7 weeks on Monday. I ended up with quite a few roosters I think. I ordered 15 hatch day straight runs and I think all those are roosters but they have a great personality. Don't think you will get a 50/50 chance of getting a rooster on straight runs its more like 90/10

The sad part is the chicks that were DOA are the specialty chicks I really wanted. I added others to get a full order since we have the space.

Sorry about your DOA also mpc uses Meyers hatchery for chicks and does not have their own. I forgot to update I lost a total of three tone splash one white and one black the splash was DOA the black was disabled and unable to walk and the white we still have no idea what happened. I ended up with three beautiful chicks two blue and a partridge they are 1month and 2 weeks old now. since silkies are so expensive I got a reshipment of 9 chicks ,5 assorted brown egg layers and 4 rare breed they got here on a tues. after being shipped out late on mon. As apposed to the silkies getting here on wed. The replacements are 2 weeks old and have all lived.
