Can't remember all the questions. Raising chickens about 6.5 years. I have lost chickens to bobcats, weasels, coyotes, chicken hawks and anything else flying that likes them, a fox, and I think theft, oh and when I raised some chick's with ducklings drowning. I have had chicken hatch an egg seemingly inside of her on the oklahoma winter of 2021. I got down to two hens in 2023, bought some more and got a game rooster from a former neighbor. I have 1 rooster now and 12 hens of various breeds. I get brown, white, pinkypeach, green and white eggs from them. I can tell you they are very picky and loyal.

My hobbies are canasta and cross stitch. I am married with 2 grown kids a daughter n law and a grandchild. Right after we got chickens I was in tractor supply and saw byc near the front. I knew I needed it. I recently joined to get reliable information about how many eggs can one hen hatch and how small does a mark have to be on the egg. Since they rotate the eggs the marks are never where they start out at.
