Hey out there!, I have a Rooster "Louie" who is about 2 yr old. When I brought him and his girls (4 hens) home, he looked bad. No tail feathers, and he just got worse,.as the days went on. I have treated him several times with spray, and cleaned coop, etc...his tail feathers look awesome! but he still goes through periods of losing feathers on wattle, and now the vent area? is there something more to this besides thinking its lice or mites? Nodbody else in the coop has anything wrong with them although I treated everyone when I brought them home.??

He's probably just molting! Chickens do it around this time of year to grow a new batch of feathers.
