Mysterious death-swollen throat

I found my one year old dead this morning. No injuries I could see. Ther neck seemed swollen and firm. I checker her on her roost last night they were out with supervision yesterday. No egg problems, no strange poop, in eating or drinking issues I knew about. All seemed fine yesterday. Did I miss something?

Firm hard throat is usually indicative of a crop issue. Sour crop or an impacted crop. Did you check the crop last night?
Tumors? Infection?
Chickens are prey animals and very good at hiding health issues until its too kate.
Are you having it necropsied? Only way to be sure of cause of death.
