Mysterious Deaths

Sorry for you losses. If $20 is too expensive you could ask to speak with the head of the department and ask if they could waive the charges. Next time you have one that needs to be euthanized you can take it to one of the labs and they will euthanize it *and* do a necropsy for $20.
Good to know

died within a 48 hour time period. He went from perfectly healthy looking and acting and 36 hours later was standing on floor of coop in a complete daze and 12 hours later was dead.

Eight days ago a hen went from being perfectly health to the next day isolating herself, not leaving the corner of the coop. She is in a daze. She has not died yet but acts very strange and if she comes Uout of the corner just sits. Then 2 days ago same thing has happened to another one of my hens.

The only thing I'm wondering is if the mice that are around infected the chics

sitting down in coop, wavering back and forth on his legs when I lifted him up...almost in a daze

She also couldn't stand up without losing her balance.

Then day before yesterday a 3rd chicken acting the same.

I'm sorry you are having trouble.

I agree, having a necropsy is the best thing you can do in your situation. @casportpony has given you good information about seeing to that.

If you can post some photos of your chickens, coop/run that would be great.

Also tell us what you are feeding (type of food/treats) - is the feed fresh, when was it purchased, does it have date on the bag, how is it stored?

You mention you have mice - how are controlling the mice - are you using any poison?
Is the feed that the chickens are eating, dry and free of mold? How do you feed them?

I also agree that the photo found by @casportpony - that hen looks like she has lice. DE is not effective for an active infestation. Can you inspect your chickens for evidence of lice and if you find any, treat them with a Permethrin based poultry dust or spray - clean out and treat the housing as well. Read your package instructions, but generally you will want to re-treat again in 7-10days to kill any that have hatched.

The acting dazed, how much ventilation do you have in the coop, also look around for anything moldy or rotten that the chickens could have eaten. If in doubt of your feed, throw it away and buy fresh.

If you haven't done so, it won't hurt to clean/sanitize all your water and feed stations - then put out fresh clean water and feed.

Just my thoughts:)
