Mysterious plant ...

Can anyone identify this plant for me? It’s popped up in my front garden and I don’t know whether to leave it be or pull it up... I’m in the UK if that helps at all ...

It looks like it could be a small triffid. I could be wrong. In all honesty, I have no idea. I'd probably pull it up. Chickens do tend to leave plants that are harmful to them alone. But there is always a chance they won't. I'd err on the side of caution and get it gone.

I don't have the foggiest notion. But, I do think it's pretty! Can you send a photo of it to an agricultural college in your country?

It’s popped up in a chicken free patch of garden so no worries on that count, it’s more just simple curiosity haha ... there seem to be a few of them floating around now I’ve had a proper look.

I did just search to see if it was Japanese knotweed. It isn't! That plant is a nightmare for anybody if it grows on your land.

I’m kind of hoping it might just be something pretty that won’t spread haha...
