Not a Faverolle, most likely. Mine have always been almost white as chicks and have much bigger muffs and no crest.

Mine faverolles were lighter too. This was in the bantam bin. So no telling. Ill post another pic once it feathers out and grows some more.

Hey y’all! Here’s some more photos! I e definately ruled out salmon faverolle. To me this chick still appears to be a silkie mix. What do you think now?

I don’t think. The feather texture is super unique. Not like any of my other chickens. Def seems a little like the Silkie feathering. Alothough I had never heard of that type. Super cool

I got it at tractor supply. Someone told me that “Hatchery quality” silkies don’t always have black skin. Either way, I’ll be a happy camper if it mostly resembles a silkie. I’ve wanted one! I’ll be even happier if it’s a pullet!

In my experience, silkie mixes are either silkie feathered or smooth feathered. Not in between. Very interesting..................

I'm surprised that is the same chick! Looks just like a regular silkie to me but with light skin.. I had a silkie that had clean legs (I ordered only purebred silkies), so light skin is possible with hatchery chicks.. some silkies have feathers on their wings that look smooth but the rest of their body is silkie feathered.
