Knowing the age would help a lot. But I am leaning to cockerel

Also! This bird has spurs already growing. Isn't that early?! I think she's just super bird with growth.

I've never had a Buff Orpington cockerel but I wonder if a hatchery one would have white on them like that?

I honestly don't think so! She just spread her wings out and there was a lot of white.

It really looks like a sexlink to me. And they would be 1st Gen

Yeah So you think golden sexlink rooster? The hatchery must have mixed something up...

I have a Golden sex-link and had two at one time, that chicken looks like both of mine did at that age. It may be a she that has a bit more male hormone, giving her a bigger comb. Sometimes females have male traits. I had a female white Delaware that had pseudo-spurs. I also have a female blue Andalusian who lays gorgeous eggs but has huge (even for her breed) comb and waddles, like a rooster.
