Hey, I hope somebody can help identifying this bird.
A breeder sent two boxes with pheasants in them. When they arrived there was a one box package but the second package had 2 boxes taped together. Right off the bat you could tell one side was 2-3 times heavier than other. In the 2 box package, one box had the two pheasant hens and the second box had this bird in it. The breeder indicated he doesn't tape 2 boxes together because it was more expensive to ship than 2 separate boxes. And he didn't have any black birds. What a mystery! We assume the Post office taped them together. I don't think it is a ordinary bird since it would have cost $40+ to ship it somewhere. Notice the black iridescent coloring and large legs?Anyway if somebody recognize Blackie let me know.
