Mystery Bird

Hey, I hope somebody can help identifying this bird.
A breeder sent two boxes with pheasants in them. When they arrived there was a one box package but the second package had 2 boxes taped together. Right off the bat you could tell one side was 2-3 times heavier than other. In the 2 box package, one box had the two pheasant hens and the second box had this bird in it. The breeder indicated he doesn't tape 2 boxes together because it was more expensive to ship than 2 separate boxes. And he didn't have any black birds. What a mystery! We assume the Post office taped them together. I don't think it is a ordinary bird since it would have cost $40+ to ship it somewhere. Notice the black iridescent coloring and large legs?Anyway if somebody recognize Blackie let me know.

Are you going to keep it? Now I"m just curious what's going to happen to this mystery bird :p
I don't know what I'm going to do with it. I have Royal Purple guineas and 3 Golden Laced Wyandottes hens that free range during the day and return to their respective coops at night.I don't want to keep it with my pure bred pheasants but I don't know if I should turn him lose to free range. Would the Goldens accept Blackie enough to allow him to hang with them and would he follow them back to the coop at night? What breed is it? Is it a male or female? To many questions that need answering.

She was renamed Bart. Bart is a Black Thai Gamefowl. She free ranges with the chickens and is a brooder. She hatched 9 eggs but lost one. 1 chicken was definately her egg from a golden laced wyandotte. But at least 95% Bart.

ISO Black Thai Gamefowl eggs, chicks or adults.- as×
