Mystery Breed/Hybrid

Bought this female and originally thought it was a rhode island red, but it looks nothing like the rhode island reds (they were in the same place as the Araucanas/Ameraucanas chicks they were selling, maybe it's that?) we just got at another store that are accurately identified.

Any idea what this is?:

From the overhead pic you can see that it has muffs so I would say Easter egger. What kind of comb does it have? Single like the RIR or different?

Single like the other one, dark mark on beak. The other one - is that a RIR ? We aren't quite sure as the feed store sold it as a gold sex link but little feathers on tail and sides coming brownish not white, even though head is yellow and fluff on sides yellow?

It is an EE, by the puffs on the side.

Oh that has got to be an EE. Not a partridge rock for sure. the muffs and those red brown markings on the feathers look like my EE roo.

See the rust color on his wings like yours has?

So do you think it is a pullet or cockerel or still too early to tell?

It is hard to tell...mine crowed at 9 weeks old. When you looked at him you could not tell it. Look at his pic in my post above.
