Mystery breed?

Stopped by Meyer Hatchery a couple days ago to check out my beloved overstock bin, and unearthed some real treasures for $2, including a gorgeous Golden Cuckoo Marans. Also found the spunkiest little feather foot imaginable, and had to bring it home with me. This little booger has me stumped! Any ideas as far as breed? Reminds me a lot of a d'Uccle as far as body type, but wildtype in down (chipmuck stripes) color. Bantam-sized, single-combed, peach-legged, and bearded.

And for confirmation, is this most likely a Blue Orpington, as I suspect she is? Quite the hefty, docile chick, which rules out Andalusian for me.

If it is indeed an Orp, that's a whopping $22 bird....which I snatched at bargain. How exciting! Thank you!

The feather footed one looks brahma-ish to me. The chick identifier showed a pic of a bantam brahma that looks a whole lot like yours, even the eyeliner. Someone with more experience will be able to tell better than me.

Good observation. Only things that don't line up with Brahma is the beard/muffs and single comb instead of a pea. I also don't think it's a d'Uccle due to the fact that they're never brown and stripey.

Is Sage Gem bantam a possibility? Meyer doesn't specify what breeds went into the mix, other than they usually produce olive to green to brown eggs.

Congrats on your new gorgeous little feathered babies, Alex! They are both so beautiful! Like the others, I have no clue as to what your first one is. But she is adorable. And the other one is probably a Lavender Orpington; those are expensive 'little' birds!

Oh yeah! I didn't see those at first. I was just looking at the body conformation, that kinda long neck, and leg feathers. Huh... Do Speckled Sussex have muffs and beards? Someone suggested that. I can't tell the differences in combs when they're that little yet.
