Mystery breed

Hi all, I got a chick from my cousin who hoped she was getting a bantam but thought he/she would be full size. It’s about 8 weeks and I’ve gone through different iterations of what it might be. Comb and wattles like a roo and kind of acts like one, but can’t decide what breed. Not real big. Wing feathers have a dark green color. As a chick I thought barred rock, but as he grew he got less barred. Rustic Rambler maybe?

It's definitely a cockerel. Is it supposed to be purebred? Where did it come from?

Hi, thanks. It came from one of our local feed stores who sources from a few different hatcheries - they had several breeds and I guess early on it was a bit chaotic with everyone still adjusting to Covid regulations and all, and it seems breeds were mixed up. Like I said, my cousin thought she was getting bantams...

I take that back, just stumbled across OEGBs at TSC website, so who knows? I also have a Blue hen that I thought was a Blue Plymouth, but is also kinda smallish and looks similar to a Blue OEGB... will post her later

I actually got a Crevecoeur from TSC back in March. They are a rare endangered breed. It was in a straight mixed run of week old chicks. We bought 6 that day, and every single chick was a different breed.

I take that back, just stumbled across OEGBs at TSC website, so who knows? I also have a Blue hen that I thought was a Blue Plymouth, but is also kinda smallish and looks similar to a Blue OEGB... will post her later

I dont think there very rare ! Haha
