Mystery breed

These are my mom's chickens and she got them as chicks from a friend of my dad's. The man has no idea what they are. They are so gorgeous and docile and we would love to know their breed if anyone can help.

What color eggs does that hen lay?

It's hard to say from the pics, we can't really see body shape. My first thought is the rooster is mixed, but they could possibly be something like Marans, he's just not very well bred.

She lays brown eggs. And the both have blue tint to their feathers.
