Thank you all for the input. I took them out to the local poultry swap today and two people thought they were dark cornish. I was surprised because I guess I expected cornishes to be bigger. These are small compared to the other chicks. I dont know enough about combs to make an accurate guess about them. I guess it will be a wait and see!

I think you are thinking about Meat birds (cornish crosses) those are white. Dark Cornish are "regular" birds they will be alittle heavier than your other layers, but they arent going to die at 8 weeks from a heart attack or broken legs like a meat bird.
