How is it they can change so much in the course of one night? 😳 I swear this one looks completely different than it did yesterday.

I really want to figure out how to get a DNA test done to determine its breed. I'm just so curious. Do they exist? I saw DNA testing for sexing but that's not necessarily what I'm looking for...

I'm not an expert on that, but since chickens don't have pedigrees and bloodline records like dogs or horses I don't know if it would be even possible.

Generally, any bird that at least approaches the SOP is accepted as that breed. But there are a lot of mixes around that are anyone's guess what might have gone into that mix.

I know the breed of every hen in my flock and only have 2 roosters but I've got a bird showing traits I can't figure out so I had to put up a question for the genetics experts.
