sounds like a possible cross to me. When you said spots, I immediately thought Cali Whites, but they have them on their legs too, if I am not mistaken. I think you may have a 'wait and see' chick. I got a cross last year that I guess probably 10 different breeds before she finally grew up and was obviously a cross with some kind of rosecomb. I love her and she is one of my favorite birds out here and I wish I knew what cross she is so I could have more.

thanks! yeah, I have searched and searched on the basis of her rose comb, I may be able to track down the guy that donated the egg to the raffle and at least find out what breeds he has. Thanks!!

That is the best way to do it, Sunket. You might be able to narrow things down that way. I had gotten mine from a hatchery and had way too many to choose from.
Here is Sweetie. Not the best picture. She was the first pullet last year to start laying. She lays a smaller eggs than most of my larger breeds, but I can always tell hers. And I hatched one out and her chick looks just like her! SOOOOOO cute.
