Got this cutie in the Rhode Island Red straight run bin a couple weeks ago. I think 2-3 now? Gosh, time is flying! I feel like an very disorganized chickie parent not keeping better track, but it was a week of "ooh, another chick!' from several trips to TSC. 🤭

This was the baby as... a baby!

And now, this! Is this possibly a welsummer? I assume way too early to guess gender? I wasn't sure if the patterning was any clue yet, but there's still lots of baby fluff. 🤔 That was the general consensus from the baby pics, but definitely hoping to get a second opinion now! Snapped a couple pics before deep clean of the brooder. These guys are messy! (But sweet, so very sweet.)
Fixed to add in the right pic. Those two are always by one another.

Again please forgive the horrible mess. We deep cleaned just yesterday but they poop like little factories. We're doing another deep clean here in a few minutes. 🤭

What color are the legs? Looks like a welsummer, but legs look pink?
Legs are a little pinky yeah. Though... now I'm looking at a nearly identical chick with more yellowy legs. I'm wondering if I mixed them up. :lau WELL. If I figure out this isn't the right one, I'll update with the proper pics. OOPS. We did get a bunch of EEs/Americanas around the same time.

I feather sexed my last SS chicks. Was spot on - had 5 cockerels and 3 pullets.
Just keep an eye on the comb and wattles. My cockerels pink up quickly.
