I think mine is a Dominique, but have nothing to compare with. I found a stock Dominique hen photo that gives me hope

I’d say a few more weeks. A Dominique has a rose comb, yours looks wide like that so it would make sense. It could also be an olive egger (mixed with a barred breed).

I think just wait it out a little longer. But don’t lose hope!

Rose combs frequently pink early. If the comb is growing in size (with wattle development too), then you have a roo. At this stage, looks more pullet.

That sure looks like a Dominique cockerel to me.

I think cockerel, too now. This morning it's much pinker and dark pink wattles coming. But, this chick appears to be mid to lower level of the pecking order so far. The rest of the chicks (other than 3 Delawares) were seed as pullets. Are Dominique very docile?

Looks like a rose comb, I have two Gold Lace Wyandotte that have the same comb. It could be a Silver-Laced Wyandotte or a Dominique.

I've had Wyandottes before, this little guy seems different. Very docile to humans, bottom of pecking order at 7 weeks. The only time I hear from him is if he tries to steal a pullet's treat.

Update: 8 weeks old! My son has dubbed him "Damascus"! The young man has been watching Forge of Fire, and says his color looks like Damascus steel.
