So I literally would have to cull it eventually.

Not Necessarily my Brother in law raised a Cornish X Rock (Cobb 500 are what most industries use now) hen to maturity and she laid eggs but she was also the size of a small turkey It will most likely depend on the strength of the bird and if it can survive to adulthood

It might be a Cornish X but the pink spots are definitely cossidiosis spray.

Thanks for any and all help y'all. I'm just gonna play it by sight and see how big it grows. Hopefully it's a commercial layer. . My daughter is definitely attached to our chickens and was thrilled to wake up to see anothet chick in the house. She's constantly asking me to hold it.
