Wait I got it, here are pictures. I looked at the chick a few minutes ago and it had patches of grey, so possible a white layer hen/silkie cross?

It's also bearded. The gray patches might be splash coloring, like blue spots shining through. It got light skin instead of dark, but looks like Silkie eyes... I can't tell, but it might also be crested.

Do you know who your white layers are?

I saw TSC is taking orders and bringing out to the car.. maybe call them?

Some hatcheries have very small minimal orders as low as 3.. you might order something to be delivered next week as it's too late this week.

Check you local craigslist farm and garden section, you mind find chick friend their.

ALSO, I stand by my suggestion not to put them together if you can help it... but you might try and SEE how the chick fairs. Turkeys grab each others neck hard and don't speak chicken... but SOME times things can work out. Turkeys need 28-30% game bird pr turkey starter if possible.

Tractor supply should be open. I'm in Michigan and live not even a mile away from one and I'm about 90% sure they're open. They might do curbside pick up at the door if you call first.

The only pure white laying hens I have are orpingtons and leghorns. I ALSO have a silver spangled Hamburg.

I also agree with not putting them in with turkeys. I read multiple forums on it and thought it was fine... until I noticed that the chicks were significantly older than poults, so I won't be doing that anymore.

Tennessee. And the bigger cities have it worse. It just came to our county about 3 days ago. We got our second confirmed case today. The state total is almost to 1,000.

I figure it will be in every county before it’s over with. Some of our surrounding counties don’t have it yet tho so that’s good
