Mystery Chick

HI,

I just got 6 black Australorp chicks and one "mystery" ≥chick from Murray McMurray hatchery. Does anyone know what breed this little guy is. I think he's a rooster from his wing feathers.

I’m not good with breed ID, but maybe a Blue or Silver Laced Cochin? Either that or a Brahma?

thanks! He really does look like a Silver Laced Cochin. I'm sad that he's a rooster though. Were not allowed to keep them .

Well, depends on the breed. They can only be feather sexed if they’re a certain breed- I think they have to be a mix of slow feathering and fast feathering breeds. So “he” might not be a rooster. Don’t give up! You never know what might happen.
