Mystery Chicken Death?

It can be normal for them to attack and peck if she has been separated for a couple of weeks. Did you separate her in a wire crate within site of the flock? What breeds are your chickens? Do you notice any one of them being more aggressive? Sometimes you may have to separate or rehome a bully, or even the one being bullied. I had a hen once have an illness where she didn’t walk for over a month. Once she was again walking, even the lowest in rank bantam hen would jump her. I had ro separte her in the adjacent yard where rhey could all see one another between the netting. Months later, I put her back without too many problems.
Any suggestions to stop the cannibalizing? Today I have 3 bleeding from the vent. I don't have enough dog ctates to separate 3 chickens! I don't know how to stop it as I've tried pecking spray and it doesn't seem to be helping :( I guess I can try to pinpoint the bully....

Reread the articles about possible causes of vent pecking in post 7. Right now with red vents, they will attract pecking, so those will be best separated. You may need to have more room, increase your protein in their diet or limit treats, and make sure they are getting out to free range where they can escape bullies and explore their surroundings. Inside the coop and run, you can add some things for climbing on. Some use a blue dying spray caused BluKote which does sting, but it may provide a cover to red or irritated skin.
