Mystery chicken with issues

Howdy! We noticed an extra chicken and have NO IDEA where it could've came from. We've got no neighbors close so no one to really return it to! It is missing a ton of feathers and is scratching around the head so I'm guessing mites/lice. I've cooped it away from my flock but I'm sure I'll need to treat mine however I treat this one. Any suggestions on what I need to do next?!

Looks like gold - laced Appenzeller hen. Has it been in contact with your flock? I would suggest looking around (putting up posters?) and saying you've found this chicken just in case the owners see it. Another question is would you be willing to keep it?

It was in their coop earlier; I was looking out the window trying to figure out why 1 of my 4 hens looked so funny!!! But when it came out, my 3 peacock guards chased it off a bit. My husband closed the door to the peacock coop (all of our birds free range 100% now but we keep doors open at all times) when it came back into the yard to snack and that's where it is now. I will be asking anyone I run into anyone on our dirt road and know they'll check in with the ones I don't know.
I'd hate to think they have more they're keeping that look like this one! I'm happy to keep it however long it needs to be here and want to help it any possible way.
