Hi ,I bought these two as random hens to keep a bachelor cockeral company (they decided they didnt like him and flew out of his run ) They are from a flock of birds that looked the same so I think maybe they are breed rejects .They are really good at flying they cleared a 6ft fence by several feet and flew a hundred yards or so before landing and running off and one spent an hours or so on the roof of our bungalow. The are really noisy and often make (what I imagine) are dinosaur type noises. They are a little bit like a hamburg in shape but with a much bigger tail and have yellow legs .They can run quite well and fast .They seem really clever and very determined .I am quite fond of them and would like more if they are a set breed .Theres a dark brown and wheaten one
(they have bits of wholemeal bread in their mouths its my bribe of choice to get chickens close enough to get photos because it seems to be like hen catnip )

Based on the shape of the tail and the lanky look of them, they may be red jungle fowl crosses. I'm not the best at judging breed, but they do remind me of junglefowl cross hens.
