Hmm, interesting suggestions, and thank you! I guess I'll have to wait a little longer before I can be sure. These were taken when they were day-olds so they're pretty young, ha ha.

I'm thinking that 3 is a RIR, looking at other RIR chicks, she looks more like those, especially on her wings which have just come in, but I'm not really good at distinguishing the particular differences between each breed so...

the rest seems all too debatable to me!

1st your chickies are very cute. I agree to #2-4. I will add that Dominiques are different in combs. Niques have rose combs and BR's have Single combs. Your first chick looks like:



He is the middle chick on left.

He looks like this now.



I do not know if they will look similar but maybe semi close to him.

Where did you get these little ones from?

Also Can you take a photo of the "top of the heads" of Pic1 and Pic 2? I just want to see if the head spots are male or female. Cause in the baby photo the chick in the back of "Shadow" (middle left is a girl).
