I picked these guys up today, they were in horrible shape, they all needed baths as you couldn't even see any feathers that weren't pasted to their body's. All are doing great now, all dried and fluffed out. But what are they. I was told Blue and Dark Brown Eggs and that's all they knew about the chicks. Thinking there might be one EE and a few Maran's, but not sure what they could be. There are 7 of them, but I know I didn't get a picture of them all, all the Black ones look almost the same.

#1-greenish legs

#2 black legs down to the yellow toes

#3 Yellow Legs, does have the black feather on the wings

#4 Yellow Legs, possible Roo, white dot on the head

#5, dark green/blackish legs, puffy cheeks, possible EE?

#6 Darkest of all Black Chicks, Black Legs down to white toes

Any ideas? Just because I'm probably going to re-home 1/2 of them, just wanted to know what they might be. Thanks

I'm pretty sure they are australorps. I have raised Aussie chicks the last two years and they look just like what's in my brooder right now. Although, I don't know what a black (copper?) Maran chick looks like so perhaps they could be. Also the last three black chicks-I don't think they are australorps.

Well 2 look like my FBCM and my CCM, minus the feathered feet, but the others I don't know. Someone on my home thread for my state said that the white could be a Delaware, and that the others could be tuffless EEs, but who really knows. At least they aren't caked with junk anymore and are happy. We will just have to see what they grow up to look like. Maybe they will all be some type of OE. Who knows.
