No, I believe you. It still doesn't have the bloom/luster I associate with duck eggs but who knows. It would be difficult to photograph anyway. Hopefully the seller gets back to you and solves the mystery.

My mystery egg has it's air cell on the pointy end of the egg instead of the fat end. The air cell isn't detached, or giggley.Good morning.
Okay, I've heard that they need help hatching sometimes because they can get stuck at the pointy end.I have had that happen a couple of times. They developed fine and pipped the pointy end of the shell and hatched out ok.
The eggs weren't labeled so I guess labeled them myself. The one in the picture is labeled with a ? Because I have no idea what it could be.I had a silician buttercup egg in a barnyard mix that looked like that (the egg was labeled)
