I have so much wildlife on my 5 acres, I have 3 dove nests that I know about, 3 robin nests, and 7 finch nests. I also have 2 massive nests up in the pine trees on my property, and in the summer at night I can hear 2 to 3 owls if I'm lucky (like a few times a month)I mentioned pigeon, because I have many wild pigeons in the bigger barn next to the barn/coop for the chickens.
I'm doing good to interact with my chickens. We have bluejays, woodpeckers, cardinals, mourning doves, juncos, wild turkeys, deer, hummingbirds, etc. Yes, finches, wrens, swallows and probably some I am forgetting. Oh, and buzzards, crows and rarely eagles. I can see them but not follow them to their nests. Other wildlife too, less welcome but part of nature.
or experts know what this could be if not from a chicken?
It looks like a large chicken egg to me. The color, texture, shape of the shell look similar to other eggs you have been getting?So I just measured the egg, and it is 2 3/4 long and 2 inches wide. Any smart people
