So ... what are your best guesses?

Photo taken at 2 days old ... I recognize that it is likely a roo (although we can always hope, can't we?). Came with an order of 50 pearl white leghorns commercial egg layer bargain. My first time ordering from a commercial hatchery ... and my first time with the white leghorns (my they are flighty). All babies are still healthy so far.

Wow ... I can also see that my daughter needs to use some hand lotion. This chick also seems to have taller feathers around the mid to back of head ... seems odd.

Updated picture here at 18 days on 3/3/10

Hope these help!
also, here a picture of all of the chicks we ordered (all survived and are doing great). There are 50 pearl white leghorn pullets and this one little black one (about 1/3 smaller than the leghorns).

Here is the mystery chick almost all grown up (almost 16 weeks):

For comparison ... here is a much younger (easter hatch) marans pullet I purchased from a local:

So what are our revised thoughts (new posts will start on page 5).

I'm trying ... I uploaded it to the forum's photos and then copy pasted the link but it's not doing it for me ...

I'll try something else

Do they consider barred rock rare? That would be funny since that's what I have the most of (17/23) for my adult birds. I suppose it could be dominique instead of barred rock ... do they have the differentiating characteristics as chicks?
