Ok so I am a new backyard chicken owner I started off with 2 Spec Sussex and 1 BR which I took pics of and posted them on here (questioning the gender) and sure enough they ended up being ALL Roos

I cant have ANY roos so off they went (My BR was the sweetest one of the bunch so this time around I got 2 BR and 1 BO). Now here we are again around 4-5 weeks and I am thinking (afraid) I got Roos yet again....or maybe just paranoid please help me! The 2 BRs were pretty dark with less white but now that's changing. One has a attitude of head honcho & will not let me touch or pick him her up and now is starting to get wattles unlike my other two or maybe theirs are coming in slower. Also when I'm holding the others the bully in question will jump at me and the other chick feet first to knock them off. Now I understand pecking order but is this a ROO? Sorry about the picks its hard to get pics on moving objects and the one I cant hold like the others =)

praying that i didn't get a ROO or (s) again! hope the pics help

Thanks so much for the fast replies everyone ! Well most people I have talked to have told me that I have the female coloring pattern (which is quite different already then the last BR roo I had) and maybe they're not Roos but just an ornery bunch , but then again with hatchery birds who knows

. I will just have to wait and see and pray for good outcomes then will come my chicken dance

I will try to take better pics if that would help or wait a week and take more then..I was just so afraid with my Rooster luck it would happen again I'll be crossing my fingers

Thanks again everyone!!!

That's a female color pattern on your Barred Rocks. I think you're safe this time. :)

I don't know about the BO.

Welcome to backyard chickens glad to have you and at that age I believe all cockerels
