Hi all! I've been a chicken mom for a little over a year. I have an ISA brown who started losing feathers by her tail about 6 months ago. It's getting worse and worse. I've checked for lice and mites. No sign on her or the coop. No one else in the flock is losing feathers. She is second in command and I've never seen her be pecked at. We do not have a rooster. I do not believe it is molting, because she's been this way for awhile. She acts fine and lays almost everyday. We have adequate space for our chickens. I give them all layer feed and oyster shell and supplement appropriate produce and protein.
What could be going on? How do I help her? I'm worried that come winter she will be really cold.
Thanks in advance!!
