Picked up 4 chicks today from a local pet shop (located in Australia) they are in temp housing while my partner finishes cleaning up the brooder (meant to only get some straw lol) just listed as "assorted chicks". thinking a silkie roo over a few different hens

Chick #1 4 toes, a little leg feathering thinking araucana cross

Interesting mix of birds! In the states, the green legged ones would be considered easter eggers, which is a mix in and of itself. I think your assessments could be accurate. It will be interesting to see how these guys feather in.

eta: I'm not sure the first one is a UK araucana mix. If it was mixed with silkie it would undoubtedly have a crest, but it doesn't appear to. It also doesn't seem to have muffs or a beard.... Wonder what it will turn out to be.

Looking over them again I think only this cockerel is silkie mix as it has 5 toes, feathered legs and it's comb

I must admit I went back and got the remaining chicks they still had :lau
This is the same blue chick as above but now with a lavender look alike. I'm also wondering what these will end up like

The two on the right are the new ones, these I know are full silkie

still no clue to this one other than it's the same size as the silkies so it's a small bird. Also noticed the poor darling has been picked at, I'm keeping an eye on it and so far it doesn't have any fresh picks since being here. it's fluff does cover it a bit when I push it down.

I also got this pretty girl. With her little beard she reminds me so much of the easter eggers I see posted often, except she also has some leg feathering. Honestly I think I like this look a bit more than my white araucana but maybe thats because shes over crested
