Mystery Predator - HELP!!!

Good advice. I also recommend baiting the trap but don't set it for several days. The animals are usually wary at first and may trip the trap without taking the bait then you'll have a harder time getting them to go in. If you bait the trap with out setting it the animals will go in and get the idea it is a feeding station so they go all the way in and are not expecting the trap to close. You'll get better luck that way.

Try honey buns as well. Our coons cannot resist them and it catches them everytime. Hubbie also puts a tent stake attaches to the trap to keep it from getting moved and opened.

Thanks for all the good advise everyone. I'm going to set the game cam tonight. I guess I could always camp out at the barn to see what may show up. As long as it's not a bear I guess it would be safe.

I put a lock on my coop b/c someone recently told me, "the raccoons at boyscout camp learned to open the old school Playmate coolers together. One would open the top, while two others pushed the buttons on the sides & then they'd help themselves to anything inside. OMG that's evolution!
