Thanks i take great pride in his size and color. To give you an idea, when he stands up all the way to look around, he comes up to my mid thy and possibly even higher now and im 5' 7". Pluse that he is only 10 months old, he is gonna be one big chick magnet.

Now I know that he will breed with my hens , should i be able to get chicks by mid summer. Or can he do it now, if u know what i mean.​

At ten months, he's more than capable of covering your hens. It also does not matter what breed, any roo will cover any hen regardless of breed. They don't know the difference.

Looking at your roo, my guess would be his daddy was maybe a white leghorn? and his momma was a barred rock. A black sex-link basically means his momma was a barred rock and his daddy wasn't.
