Mystery rooster - may be more than 2 breeds - and a question about breeding him

White Leghorn Father, not sure about the mother



Not only does he have the red, he has a few small barred feathers.

I know for sure his father is white leghorn.

Mother possibilities are:
Rhode Island Red
Barred Rock
A hen that looks exactly like a RIR, but may not be purebred?? May have some barred rock or Lakenvelder in her.

My 2 questions are
1. What breed(s) do you think his mother was (father was white leghorn)?
2. If crossed with a Buff Orpington hen, what will the chicks look like? (I have both him and a Buff rooster with the hens, and I'd like to know which chicks are purebred.)

Did you ever figure out what your Roo was? We have a white leghorn mix that looks JUST like him, and seeing your photo today was exciting! I don't even have options for a possible mom, so I appreciate your list.
