Mystery to solve!

If it is a Welsummer, it would be really obvious now if it was a rooster. The legs are pretty good size but I don't see any other indications of cockerel. :idunno
When it was a baby it looked just like a cockerel Welsummer chick. Perhaps the fact that it is being raised with meat birds who are larger it may be throwing me off. I’ll get a pic

I don't see any red in the comb but it's early. Those legs sure look like a male. It just seemed like my Welsummer males had some color in the combs by 4 weeks. I think we will have to wait another week.:hmm
p.s. by the way they make wonderful easy going roosters if that's what it is. ;)

Thank you! I’m pretty doggone sure he’s a cockerel with the feathering and markings from hatch. I plan on giving him away if he’s a cockerel as our coop would just be too small for him. But going to hopefully exhibit him or her at county fair. ;)

Chipmunk stripped? Sounds like a Azure Blue (lays blue eggs) very healthy. Keep us posted please!
I’m pretty sure it’s not a RR it was the mystery chick that came with my rangers. The others don’t look like him at all. They’re red/buff colored and He’s got golden on the feather and looks chip mink striped.
