i have been waiting so long for this day…but I haven’t prepared a speech where I talk my husband into $149 for one chicken so I guess I will have to wait. His favorite kind of chicken is a free one lol

You could try what worked with my Mom...

First it was the WFBS, which she never liked the look of:
"I only need the breeders for a little while, then we can resell them! They're rare, people want them!"
Recently sold the last, all told got $150 (they were $80 eggs) so we probably broke even on feed, may have made a little.
Now with the proof of concept in place...

"I need these $175 Sumatra eggs."
"Oh, alright."
I was surprised how easy that conversation was.

It'll be awhile before I order any exotic chicks, like the Dong Tao cuz Social Security denied me again even though I've been disabled since birth. They also sent me a letter requesting that I owe them over 28 thousand dollars in over payments from when I was on SSI, which is something I know isn't possible, or exists. These guys are crooked.
Had to rant abit. It's just stupid.

My Paint Easter Egger Pullet laid her first egg today. It's large in size, so she’s probably gonna be a Jumbo, or Colossal egg layer as her eggs get to full mature size.

Was hoping for a minty green, or Olive colored egg, but it seems like I'm cursed to get either various shades of blue, or Turqouise colored eggs. Guess I'll have to make my own minty layer.

I’m sorry, that stinks! So first they agree that you’re disabled, send several years’ worth of payments, and then say nope, give it all back? I hope you can get a good SSI attorney. Also contact your US Senator and Representatives.
