N.E. Chickenstock 2011!!!!!! Who's up for it??

I'll be showing up without chickens and ready to buy, but I don't have an empty coop at home and after this, Hubby may have to build me a new one!!!

Like we said we will stuff your pockets!!!!

Looking forward to filling my pockets!!! What is the best thing to transport them in? I have big rummbermaid tote and I also have a dog cage. Which is better? It's about a 2.5 to 3 hour drive.

Bring both!!! u might need them

If ur dog cage is the all wire crate then small chicks might be able to get out. I have three that I use for chicks and I have to wait until they are about 3 weeks old before they can use it. If you have the solid cage with the wire door and the top wire windows (like the cat carrier type/crate) then this all wouldn't matter. Older chicks might be able to fly out of ur rubbermaid bin if they are old....so I guess it depends on what chicken age ur looking for...... disclaimer... this is Chickenstock.... you are highly likely to leave with birds that you haven't planned on!!

I have hardware cloth around my dog cage so that my silkies don't get out until Hubby builds my banty coop. I may just bring both of them since we are bringing my Envoy and we won't have the kids, so we can put the back seat down.

Ooooo, this day may get me in a LOT of trouble!

I'm not sure. I love all the flavors of Orpingtons, but I'm prepared to fall in love with something else!

I may be able to come!!! I'm a chicken newbie, I have 5 one week old Buff Orps in the brooder. I'd love to come see what everyone has to offer, and maybe convince DH to bring some new friends home with us!
