I was thinking she was just kidding. I mean can you imagine the amount of chicks she would need if everyone that came, members and non-members received a chick?!?!? She would need tons of incubators and broody hens kept very busy between now and then.

Well, I never expected to have such a response from offering free chicks

Hmm, yeah, that sounds dumb now

I will have a bunch of chicks from my own eggs, that I won't be keeping... In fact I just put another 30 or so eggs in the hatcher tonight

Australorp/marans crosses, cochin crosses, I have a few cochin/serama crosses... I'll figure something out

As for the 6 chick minimum... I know the stores have to sell a 6 chick minimum, at least they say they do. What I don't understand is why some hatcheries can sell only 2 or 3 chicks & those are shipped chicks. They go through way more than a chick going straight home.
