N.E. Chickenstock 2011!!!!!! Who's up for it??

I have another newbie question.

If I pick up chicks form more that one of you down at chickenstock do I have to keep them separate for a while?

The coop is almost ready and I'm starting to get excited!

I've decided that i am going to bring some laying hens that are almost a year old, if anyone is interested.
Good layers, too.RIR's, Golden Comets, and maybe the Buff Orp

I am also thinking about parting with my trio of silkie ducks

I have them in with the chickens, which is fine, but I think a place of their own, where they can slop and make a ducky mess, would be better for them (and my girls). I'm not going to "give" them away, they are show quality from Holderreads, but I will sell them at a fair price. My Drake is white covering grey, and both girls are grey. I hatched out a really nice hen from them, grey in color, healthy as can be, and very friendly

I'm going to keep Karat as she has been raised with the chicks and thinks she is a chicken

fertility has been great, I just stink really bad at hatching waterfowl. I have a couple eggs in the bator from them right now, which are developing. My price for the trio is $200. You're getting a pair for $150, & the 2nd hen for only $50. I paid way more than that from Holderreads. If they need to be shipped the cost will obviously be more for shipping and a new box. If you're interested please let me know, and I will hold them for you.

Is there a certain time you'd rather we not show up the night before?

I *think* I am going to camp, but as it turns out, no one will be here for chores, so it might be late by the time I get there. I think its a five hour drive for me, and I probably won't leave here til 6 or 7? I may just sleep in the car, LOL I just cannot see me pitching a tent!

Or would you rather we just show up early am?

I'm near Rochester NY (Bloomfield actually) if anyone wants to share a ride/gas? Just PM me...

And there may be hope for some of the stuff in the bator after all, I see movement!
