N.E. Chickenstock 2011!!!!!! Who's up for it??

Gotta agree with that....Patty's turkeys are so sweet! But the one turkey I had on my farm....not so much. He flew at us, eagle style, with his feet, and then tried to beat us to death with his wings. Sneaky guy, too. Lurked around waiting to hear the kawasaki mule start up and knew it was time for the human hunt. But, don't worry, Nat, Patty's REALLY are sweet!

If I get an eagle-he'll get to be my Tday turkey no matter how small he is at that stage!

HappyChick- Your turkey hen who lives with me has disappeared into the woods and is either dead or broody....or has moved in with the guy up the street who has chickens and a flock of baby goats in a very fancy setup! I cant imagine that she is gonna disappear NOW, just at laying season!! but she was sleeping outside and in a tree for a few days, mating and acting like she was gonna go broody, so I think she is just broody somewhere. I just am not sure if she is eating! She came back a few times but now I haven't seen her in 48 hours....unless she snuck in when I wasn't here.
Tommy is aggressive but I still love him! He is not beyond ramming me if I turn my back and has already stomped a toddler or two;-)

I am planning on coming but of course the word is now that my grandfather is very very sick, so I may have to go to the city instead and sit deathwatch....this has happened so many times around me trying to do things that I really want to do,....but I am going to do everything I can to get there! We just have to see what happens.
Im guessing that all hotels round there are booked up already;-)

I want more ducks and any and all frizzles that people have!
I say this as I have a brooder full of frizzles and marans (the marans from AHappyChick eggs!...great hatch rate there!) and a young flock of mottled javas outside and 25 chicks due from mypetchickendotcom...what was I thinking????
I need another coop!!

Oh, and I want quails too!!

I want some of your bourbon reds. How do they winter? As we probably won't meet up again until fall.

Hey Tammy,
I am sure I will see you at whatever the next show is, so I can let you know if there are any babies and bring them. My gals layed in the spring and now are laying again. I thought they were done for the year. They winter just fine- very hardy heritage turkeys..................

It's almost official. White call ducklings and maybe a few buffs. Do die for!!!

Is anybody going to want my 3 light sussex chicks? Just wondering if I should bring them... I guess I will anyway!!

I'm counting down until Sunday!
