I do believe several people will have white silkies. Bob and Patty, in particular (Ultraclassic1 and Chickygirl2). I may have a couple myself.

here is my final and updated egg and bird list

My eggs have chganged a bit looks like this is what I will have

12 or so Olive eggers

12 Indian runner duck eggs Blue & Black and silver/lav

12 FBCM (and some blue in there as well)

8 Rumpless and tufted BB Araucana eggs

12+ true BB Ameraucana eggs

6 White silkie and SG eggs

Maybe 4 (I have collected only 2 so far and they are fertile as I cracked the 2 before it open to see, these are silkie frizzled featherd roo over a SG hen) very special Sizzle Silkie/Show girl eggs

those will all be part of the auction, any extra eggs I have (should be some in all the breeds mentioned above) will be available for $2-$4 each so you can pick a few of whatever breeds wanted.

My chicks are

unsexed FMCM, Ameraucanas, Olive egger, lav silkie, lav split sillkies, a few Show girls all lav splits but are either, Blue or black, white silkie and sg.

there will be a lav/white split SG cockerel $20
a pair of lav split silkies (really nice) $75

I also have what I think is a show quality FBCM I have been keeping for myself just incase something happns to Marty but if someone is looking to get a near perfect Marans roo I will take pics of him since Marty is supper healthy and no longer tolerates this other roo (they were living in the same flock but Marty really does not like him much lol) He meets the proposed standard for French Black Copper Marans to the tee and would be $75 I would love to see him go to someone who wants to show the breed.

I know this is gonna sound horrible but will there be any "watchers" or security? I am wondering because with such a large croud there maybe a few with sticky fingers. I would hate to hear about a chook gone missing.

All I have to say is WOW the anticipation is really killing me.
But I promised

not to buy unless I've sold my extras. I really shouldn't have done that!

Susan,
I would love to see a picture of your roo.

LF/ bantam
lines-if you know it ( parent stock)
starting price

1.) Remember 1/2 will go to Steph who was wonderful enough to host this awesome time at her house!!!
2.) Please have ALL eggs marked as to what they are and label carton to match so we don't make a mistake:)
3.) When auction ends and you hear your name being announced please go to the egg booth and pay for the eggs you won:)
4.) I think it's only fair to accept cash and checks ( phone #s added please)
5.) Ill add this now before there are any questions like a BYC auction-there are no guarantees on hatchability-no refunds-oh and you break it you bought it:) LOL
6.) I will post with updates as far as who is bringing eggs so everyone will know ahead of time.

I will have "coffee" cans for each set of eggs-I will also have slips you need to fill out to "bid" Now this is a silent auction Folks-you will NOT be able to see what others are bidding-when you bid you ticket goes into the can. You need to bid the maximum you are willing to spend to win. At a specific time the winners will be called-please leave your Cell phone numbers or house phone numbers ( if you live close) on the tickets so we can call you to pay and pick up your eggs..I will bring a cooler for them to stay in ...
It would be GREAT if the payments were made in cash so it is easier to split it up between people:)

I know..what the He**

Hey I had a Barred Rock hatch this am! LOL Its only three days late... And the Silkie is still alive, actually all of the iffy chicks I "helped" are all still alive (errr, not so much on the Quail helping though) I should have been a Vet, I have to try to save everything!

Ummm, and I did something stupid, I forgot that Duck Eggs take 28 days! I don't know why I had 25 on the brain, and since they were in the bator that ran too hot, then too cold, I don't know if they'll hatch early, late or not at all!

The way my luck has been, They're either all dead, or only the Silver Appleyards I set for the chickenstock will hatch, and the Buffs I really want will be dead.

The Pekins are all doing really well though, they're much friendlier than the Runners I hatched last time (Are Runners more flightly? Seemed like any time I looked at them or talked to them, they ran around going Argggggghhhh, scary person!
ep.gif
) The Pekins all come running over to nibble on my hand, they're even learning to use a water bottle, what good little duckies. Too bad they grow up, one of my Buffs was bathing in the water bowl today, I'm like well, that explains the mud!

I just stink at hatching, I don't know what Natalies problem is...

Thank goodness I am MUCH better at raising rabbit litters than I am at hatching chicks!
