N.E. Chickenstock 2011!!!!!! Who's up for it??

I just wanted to say Thanks to Steph & Jason for hosting. That was a great get together. What a terrific homestead you have nestled back in the mountains of PA. It was nice getting a chance to meeting every one. I came home with,... well lets just say more birds than I thought I was gonna

I was a bit like a kid in a candy store. I think I have 7 or 8 new breeds including the turkeys from Nava
Gretchen , the modern game bantam hen I bought from you, is the sweetest little bird. She is so people friendly. & where else are you gonna find Frizzle bantam cuckoo polish? Thanks, Gretchen!
A big Thanks to everyone for providing such a great variety of birds to choose from. Now I have to go roll my eggs, check my chicks, feed my birds & make plans for the next coop I'm building

...................Thanks,Chris

PS. I don't think there's a better hotel anywhere than the MicroInn, rite across the street from Cabelas! That was like the icing on the cake!

Monday morning now and just wanted to say thank you to our WONDERFUL hosts of Chickenstock 2010 Steph and Jason! It was our first and wow what a great time, we stocked up on chicks and got to meet alot of great people. Our flock ie off to a great start.

Ooh Ooooh, my turn!

Thank you Steph and Jason for hosting a great day. My little frizzle girl is doing well. She insisted on sleeping in the big coop last night, but is still a little terrified of my big girls and the dog... She's seems happier bullying the adolescents around for now.

I parted with 9 chicks, and came home with 10 more, so that's not sooo bad. Of course, there are now pips in my incubator (bantam lavender Ameraucanas anyone?) and I got a bunch of eggs from Gretchen as well. I feel like my intervention must be just right around the corner.

Now Bann and I have to take on City Hall to make this little hobby of ours legal in the big city!

Nice meeting everyone. Thanks for the lovely birds.

My turn my turn Now!!! What an amazing adventure!!!! I sold and gave away everything I brought and am going home with "almost" exactly what I said I would-2 gorgeous baby white calls from wishiwasjane...2 midget white turkey poults from Nava and El W.. and a NN that was tragically forced upon me from Nava and El! LOL..

Steph and Jason are amazing-the property and "animal family" they have are just beautiful. Thank you Thank you Thank you! Jason sorry to dissapoint with the hair...Maybe It will be longer for next year! hahaha teasing..

To be able to meet everyone like this had me with weepy eyes a few times with happiness. I felt like a little kid meeting up with summer camp friends! Thank you all and especially to the company's who donated for the raffle! Don't forget to write thank you's!!!! Well we are getting ready for the trip back so have a great safe trip home if your traveling...Natalie~

It's so good to have chicken friends. Bailey brought back chickens and ducks for me. I'll get them today. Even though I couldn't be there, the photos and comments helped me feel like I was to a small degree.
Thanx for that. Hope to make it next year.
In the meantime, I'm thinking of a small get together in the fall. Nothing like a Chickenstock, just for fun.
