I have a chicken with a split beak. I saw some posts about using nail caps to protect the beak. The post said cat nail caps were too small and said to use dog nail caps. I went to order them and there are seven sizes of nail caps. The chicken is a Welsummer. Anyone know what size nail cap is likely to be the right size? thanks

I think instead of trying to use a nail cap on this I would instead trim back the longest parts of the split, being careful not get the quick. And then I would stabilize it with the tea bag method while it grows out. Make sure to use the gel type super glue rather than the liquid. As it grows out you may need to keep trimming small amounts and re-gluing.
