My young daughter accidently shut the door on one of our 11 week old Orpington pullets. This pushed her nail up into her toe. I immediately cleaned the wound and bandaged it. I separated her from the rest of the flock to prevent them from picking at her. I cleaned and changed the dressings again this morning.
My question is, do I continue to do what I'm doing by cleaning and caring... or do I need to do other measures for care: such as pull the nail out?
These are not just chickens to me and my family, they are FAMILY.
If you have any advice, please! It would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance
