Hi, I am having an issue, all 7 of my chickens have a naked butt. So I can’t figure out if I have a bully or what. Can someone please give my some ideas on how to make this stop? This is one of my girls and the other picture is their space. They’re all laying, seem healthy.

It looks like you have feather plucking from that poor hen’s flock mates! Make sure to put on some SWAT or blukote on the hen’s bottom to heal the tender area while preventing further plucking.

I assume the chickens get to use that entire green fenced area? If so, is access open all day?

The green area looks to be a good amount of space but it's completely bare. Chickens need things to interact with. Adding clutter helps keep them busy and gives any birds being picked on places to hide. https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/a-cluttered-run.1323792/

They do have access to the whole space all day, but you’re right they need more activities. All 7 of their butts are like that. I have Blukote, I tried it once it didn’t work but I’ll try it again. I feel so bad for them. Thank you!

Probably bothers the keepers more than the birds, butt(haha), that is pretty extreme.
How old are these birds, in months...and what breed?
Feathers will not grow back until a molt.

I'm having this same issue. Everyone of my 8 girls have the same similar issues, a couple more extreme than the others. Doesn’t seem to bother them, but I’d like it to stop as well. 5 of my girls are 9-10 months old (4 Easter eggers and 1 Rhode Island Red), 3 of my girls are Barred Rocks are 8-9 months old. Basically a different of 3+ weeks in age.
Thankfully, there aren’t any open or bleeding sores, just bare butts...

I just had the same thing with most of my chickens, appeared to molt (10 months old) and now their feather are growing back and they are all laying.

They’re 12 months, and RIR. Do they molt in the Spring? I thought it was Fall
