Naked Hens!! HELP!!

ok so one of you told me sonthing about vinegar in the water helping with the picking...and im doing the saddles as we speak should get them on there in a couple of days and I am going to clean and dust the coop. what if the saddles are fluffing up in between wings?

The perch idea is great.May also try giving them fruits and vegatables to get there mind off of each other.May need to take the other roosters out of the pen.

Put 5-10 TBSP of white vinegar in water, or use ACV. I have used two tbsp in one gallon. Like I said this seemed to work for mine, so give it a try, it's cheap and may do the trick. I would add BOSS to their diet too, as they may need protien.

Yes, if they can get them off they are too lose. Can you free range your birds? Seven dust will help your birds. It sounds as if you have them in a small living space. Like everyone else suggested, perches, hang cabage from a string, toss them fruit, make sure they have fresh water and the coop is clean.

How long have you had chickens? how old are they? Do you have nest boxes? Are they laying eggs? Yes, get rid of the roosters. You have too many. You may have to sell a few hens to make room for them. Good luck

I have pleanty of room for my 14 hens and 1 rooster... the roosters are forsale but no one is biting and no i cant free range because my parents dont want poop in the yard. they are a year and 5months old and just started doing this when they turned a year old. i can tighten up the elatstic around their wings if that would help.
